The Lymphoedema Network Northern Ireland (LNNI) was set up in February 2008 to oversee the development of lymphoedema services across Northern Ireland. 

Our stakeholders include patients, carers, the general public & organisations. Organisations in the network are from the statutory, voluntary, charitable and private sectors.
 
The network allows our stakeholders to have an active role in shaping future services.

Liposuction for chronic lymphoedema - NICE Guidance

NICE published their updated review regarding liposuction for lymphoedema in April 2022.

This positive resource supports the use of liposuction for those with chronic lymphoedema where the main problem is not fluid, but fatty tissues.

It states that this must only be completed with teams who specialise in managing lymphoedema and in specialist centres, and with agreed peri-operative protocols.
